Tesco

Tesco x GenM
From pilot to permanency – transforming the menopause shopping experience at scale.
For more than three years, Tesco has been committed to better understanding, supporting and serving the menopausal consumer, helping to make menopause support more visible, accessible and easier to navigate through dedicated menopause-friendly spaces, trusted menopause-friendly products and improved customer signposting both in-store and online.
United by the MTick, Tesco and GenM are working together to help customers search, source and shop for MTick-certified solutions with greater confidence, whilst helping normalise menopause and improve support for both customers and colleagues.
Leading Menopause Visibility In Retail
As one of the UK’s largest retailers, Tesco joined the GenM Collective to help improve menopause visibility and accessibility through dedicated menopausefriendly bays, curated online experiences and clearer menopause product discovery.
Following in store trials of the MTick menopause-friendly bays, featuring MTickcertified products and educational signage, they have since extended into 123 stores, a 32% increase. This follows 16% faster like-for-like growth than stores without dedicated space, showing strong customer demand, with menopause becoming the fastest-growing space allocation within Tesco’s Health, Beauty & Wellness category, increasing 27% year-on-year.
Customers can browse a dedicated menopause filter on Tesco.com featuring more than 450 carefully curated products selected to support those navigating menopause, whilst permanent in-store MTick bays continue to expand nationwide following strong customer demand and category growth.
The partnership also reflects Tesco’s wider commitment to colleague wellbeing, supporting more than 130,000 women working across the business through initiatives including menopause-friendly uniforms, increased menopause awareness and supportive workplace resources.
